I go next month as well. I got my summons last fall, but then The Boy went into the hospital, so they deferred my "service". I'm pretty sure this means I'll end up having to go in. Gotta call that Sunday night, and unless they tell me different, I'm on call for petit jury for two weeks. I've never been called for jury duty before (which is weird, right? I mean, I'm 45, always licensed, always registered to vote.)

This is the 3rd time in 20 years that I've been in this county and I was summoned 2 times in the previous county. 5 times and I'm 42. Always just been on call until now.

I also had to defer my service because the original one was for back in October when I would be recovering from the surgery I had. I picked this week because no one at my work had requested any leave. Guess I picked the right week -_-

It'll be interesting. I'm okay with serving if it's something that I'm not biased about so we'll see.

 

Not gonna lie, I'm kind of jealous of you people. I'm 31 and a half and have been registered to vote since I was 18, and I've never gotten jury duty. People always complain about it, but I'd be very interested to go and I really look forward to the day I get to be on a jury. It's like a stupid little goal in life that I have.
