Maybe it's because you haven't updated in so long that there are problems? Two years of updates all at once. My Windows 10 is up to date, no issues for me. I don't install updates immediately in case there are reported problems and delay that install until a fix is released, but no major issues otherwise. Hope performance starts improving for you.

One of the reasons why opinions on health are always changing is because of conflict of interest. If the coffee industry funds research, they probably want the research to conclude something positive about coffee. Also the studies will be completely ridiculous like taking people who drink 5 energy drinks a day and switching them to two cups of coffee, seeing improvement then the media reports that coffee is healthy when the study didn't really produce meaningful data. Also food affects people in wildly different ways. A person eating McDonald's can live to be 100, genes can be stronger than the effects of substances.

That person who lives to be 100 also probably doesn't eat McDonalds for breakfast/lunch/dinner. People may have different genes, sure, but the basic formula of calories in:calories out doesn't vary that much, and the negative aspects of being obese can't really be argued unless you're on the #fatpride tag.
