We are conducting a survey to examine how racial identity attitudes and mindfulness may contribute to positive growth in Black adults who have experienced race-based trauma. In order to participate in this research and be approved for compensation, you must:

(1) identify as African, African American, Black, Caribbean Black, or Hispanic Black, and

(2) be at least 18 years old, and

(3) identify and describe at least one race-based event. A race-based event is defined as any example of overt or subtle discrimination or prejudice experienced due to race.

If you do not meet the inclusion criteria listed above, your work will NOT be approved for compensation.

The survey will take approximately to 30 to 40 minutes to complete.

The irony is so strong I almost fell out of my chair. If being paid 40 cents for 40 minutes of a black man's time isn't overt or subtle discrimination, I don't know what is. If a black man isn't experiencing trauma, he will after taking a 40 minute survey that pays 40 cents.
