Seems like every other survey hit I caught today asked for some sort of personal details and triggered my sketch alert.

You just haven't used Mac long enough. It has plenty of errors. Not often, but it errors. It just doesn't give you a ton of options, so it takes out a large portion of the potential errors.
It is the same for people saying that iOS is super secure and nothing ever happens. They update like it is going out of style. They have to constantly push updates because it has holes in it all over the place.
I'm not Android > iOS
Windows > Mac
I'm just saying that both aren't perfect. They just depends on the amount of use. The perfect OS streak fails eventually if you use it all the time.
