Good lord, this is a very badly thought out survey that doesn't make sense a good 75% of the time. I probably would have rated this good but I felt my brain cells dying while doing this. An 8 year old could have put together a more coherent survey.

"IMPORTANT NOTE: Recently, we've changed the way our hits work to prevent issues that existed in previous hits that resulted in poor ratings on TO. These issues tended to be that workers were screened out without payment, or incorrectly rejected after completing the survey. We've attempted to change how our hits work in two notable ways:
1. We can verify completions and screen-outs with greater accuracy
2. Even if you are screened out, you will be paid for your time, you just won't get the bonus for full payment.
We hope that these changes will result in a much better reaction from workers, and will result in much better data on our end. We do not want workers to feel as though their time has been wasted, or that we are using their data without paying. Thank you for being so understanding, if you run into issues you can feel free to message us using the mechanical turk messaging function."

 

I've been the one posting hits for Pivotal*. It's worth it, honestly. If you get through the whole survey, in a few days (not sure when) you'll get an email from me telling you there's a hit you qual for that pays $4.50. If you don't get through the whole survey, you get the base payment.

People slammed them on TO in the first few batches when they rejected people who got screened out, and it hasn't recovered. They're a good bunch though, switched to a non-reject scheme unless it's obviously scammed. I haven't personally received any threats since they did lol
