Also just wanted to drop a line to say THANK YOU to everyone who helped us with the game and/or ad picks last week. It was an amazing weekend for UNU, and y'all helped make that possible.

Oh, I didn't know. Today it seems I'm learning about so many requesters who I assumed never blocked. I've only had surveys reject and those were overturned.

 

But I was hoping to get a $5 from EPL, it seems next week then.

I'd take regulation over no regulation in regards to ISPs. Regulation doesn't always help, but it does in many cases. While politicians (almost) always have ulterior motives and do not represent their constituents faithfully, many regulations help to keep organizations in line when they otherwise might not be. For example, the current administration is rolling back regulation on mountaintop removal mining. The point of this regulation was to ensure that heavy metals didn't end up water sources, harming the ecosystem and potentially making its way to humans. While someone may have enacted that to further their own less-than-innocent agenda and it may have cost money elsewhere (assuredly so), it seems a pretty good thing to regulate. Left to their own devices, individuals -- and companies are comprised by individuals -- will put profit over service plenty of the time, as we've all seen so many times over the years.
