Potassium is not supposed to be taken in supplement form. My doctor advised me against it. He said it one of those you should strictly get from food

 

Hi. You don’t have a gi disorder where you violently vomit every day.

If I could get it strictly from food, I wouldn’t have a prescription that I need to take from a GI specialist and I wouldn’t have had to be on an IV more times than I can count for supplemental nutrition and fluids.

Not everyone is the same dude.

 

Is this why you turk for a living?

 

I mean, I have a job too (I’m an editor, used to be a copy writer but got a sweet job bump and haven’t looked back) but moving to part time hours and mostly working remotely has been a huge help for my health. I was constantly getting hospitalized and increasingly ill when I was working full time and in post grad. I was working an entirely different job with an entirely different path at the time but my health was to the point I was in the hospital just so much and constantly unhappy. I had to take a break during undergrad cause I was chained to a hospital bed for 10 months at one point.

I don’t need turk per se, but my job contract only has me at 5-20 hours a week with my current company (and I’m happy that way) and freelancing can be kinda wishy washy some months, so I’m always happy to pick up some extra income via turk cause matt makes good money but I’m not about to let a dude buy my shoes and pay my medical bills and such lol. I’m not about that life.

I’ve been doing quite a bit better recently and thus the uptick in hiking and all that, but it’s still a bullshit process of medical crap and a very specific diet and what I like to call “ vomit tourism.” (That is how matt lovingly refers to my ability to go full Linda Blair anywhere I’ve ever been.)

I’m pretty open about it and most people know if I disappear at any time, I’m probably dry heaving and trying not to make a deal of it cause it’s just a fact of my life.

 

That's why I asked my doctor, cause everything I read said ask your doctor before taking one But, just looking out.

I did not know that. I always saw you as the picture of good health with all those long walks and steps. I am on disability and it pays the bills except for Abbys vet, and her expensive drugs so I need Turking and Testing to close the gap and maybe get a toy every once in a while

 

Oh gosh, the morning is the legit worst. Solids are basically a no go before 11am most of the time. I’m sorry you have to deal with that! I hate that anyone knows that pain.
