    While I'm a bit surprised people still use manual can openers I'm more curious why you had to take your own can opener on a trip @Randomacts lol.

    I have several manual can openers and I prefer them to the electric models. I'd get too frustrated with cans not fitting on electric opening or it cutting inefficiently - plus I don't like it on my counter or under my counter. But, I never take one on a trip with me....lol

    Well I assumed it was for opening things lol ;). Was it a pleasure trip?

    We have a fairly small electric one that sits hidden next to the toaster, which is also pretty hidden next to the fridge.
