    I am so sorry. Our pets are given such short lives--and it is our job to provide them happy lives full of companionship. I'm sure you provided that to Abby, and then some. Take comfort in that. I'm sure she did.

    Sorry about your loss dude. I had to put my dog down a few years ago and there isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of him. Over time the thoughts will gradually change from sadness as you think of your time together - to joy as you remember your time together.
