Perhaps AMD's new Vega GPU (500 series whatever they end up calling it) will be a solution for this =p

 

I had the same issue with sims 3 even though I did like it. Once they come out with seasons and pets for 4 I will try again. Or even something like World Adventures would be fun.

 

I'd rather buy another card than use AMD.

 

I thought that you used linux? I guess if you don't you wouldn't care nearly as much about how much of a dick nvidia can be for the open source stuff.

I'm not sure what you have against AMD. Both AMD and Nvidia have a history of shitty drivers but I would say that AMD is pretty good these days.

I mean honestly if it wasn't for the fact that g-sync monitors where sooo much more expensive then freesync I would always just get the better bang for the buck.. But

 

Maybe I should accept $25 since I woke up after 5pm and started at like 6.

 

I've was a big proponent of AMD for a long time, but their quality consistently gotten worse since 2010. Constant driver issues, having to go through complicated workarounds to get shit working properly with my 390 while none of those issues were present on an out of the box Nvidia card has left me pretty jaded towards AMD now. I'll maybe revisit their products again in a few generations, but they aren't going to have some miraculous turnaround.

Ugh this damn museum study is borked. It's been loading for 40 mins and not even 10% done. I remember the last one taking a really long time but nothing like this. Maybe my less than stellar home laptop i'm on. Gonna return it if someone wants to start a panda for it.
