I think that would be fine if those people were still eligible to play in the future. If it quals them out then it is a bit of a let down especially if you have been using a panda for a few days to get the HIT.

 

Yes. there are two cases here:
1- You start reading through the instructions and the Quiz .. but all games start before you finish them ==> you get paid base pay
2- You show up late such that all games have started even before consenting to participate ==> you do not get paid

In both cases, you should be able to play future runs of the experiment!
