We have separate cans for trash collection, one for organic waste and one for recyclables. What's really cool is that we don't even have to sort it, you just throw everything recyclable in your bin and they sort it at a facility. I truly have no idea how they know if you're doing things properly (i.e. sorting the organic from the recyclables) but they definitely do, it's like a $250 fine and people Grinch about it all the time. It's actually a really nice service because TBH I never bothered with recycling beforehand because of the utter pain of driving it to facilities.

Happy Monday everyone! Had an eventful weekend: Camped at Pismo, hiked a cove, and then hiked Vasquez rocks cause I can't turn down a hike invite! Skeeter decided the beach was THE BEST THING EVER, and kept jumping mid-air and running in giant circles. He did not want to sleep on his blanket, he wanted to sleep covered in sand like a little sand doggo. Skeeter approves of the beach.
