That's the plan! Well right now I'm paying bills cause we are super cheap. But when it's spare it goes to plants and video games. I think it's a win win cause he puts up with me.

 

Give me your JS script that is so godly on CIs, I'll write it in jQuery and perftest it and bet dollars to donuts there's no difference that a human could actually perceive or ever matter versus the actual throttle of mturk's page request limits.

Maybe when you get into incredibly complex frameworks like the entirety of MTS you'll get some noticeable performance improvements here/there, but your mind's eye is not an actual benchmarking tool.

In real world performance, I cap on CI's just as quickly as all the vanilla JS preachers, the cap on the vast majority of HITs is the amount of time between submissions before things start to yell at you loudly from the mtruck hamster wheel.

 

I am "typecast " customer service jobs (for some reason that is ALLL I can get and I even went to college) and I have panic attacks/anxiety on those even on A LOT of anxiety meds so I am turking/appen/prolfic/usertesting.

 

The only difference between this and a dev job gig is more pay. I still get to pick who I work for and I'll probably still work from home, which is great because I've got three sleep disorders and anxiety that make me Life's Grinch.

I met someone recently who built all his mturk tools in Python, and I was uber impressed lol. Idk why but in the past when I've looked at it its made me want to cry, but he seriously made me think about trying to dig back into it.

So, just saying, but its a perfectly valid thing to practice w/ on mturk. He had a pretty damn cool setup

 

I just watched the bulk of my savings account go woosh for a downpayment. Back to slogging my ass off to put more money aside again. Wahhhh.

I am new to MTurk. Started in January. I am a nurse and work on the weekends and have off M-Thursday. So I try to MTurk as much as possible. I am still so slow to get the good ones. I use HIT catcher and HIT finder. I will be the forum nurse.
