I don't see how this can be true unless you're turking from an actual rock or flip phone. You're talking about 270ms difference between jQuery/JS for it to delay a full 100 ($1) HITs in an hour.

Loading it is going to take what, 20-50ms if you somehow have the worst HDD built in the last decade?

The parse time for jQuery is <20ms on anything built since you were born:


And this all assumes the person working is an actual potato who can't open more than one tab. You're not making decisions in CI's at 100ms/clip, so the load effect of jquery + w/e code you write is not affecting anyone's performance on any HIT worth chatting about - IMO, and I haven't seen a convincing argument besides "well look at this jsperf that shows if you did 1,000,000,000 HITs with JS instead of jQuery you'd save 100 IOPS!!!!!!1111111"

...then again, this is me & math, so we know how that go
