I used to use a puppia harness on my dog and it was great! The only reason I switched to a Kong harness is that I needed a handle on it and my dog rolls on concrete a ton so we needed something more durable.

My dad had a Great Dane when I was little and he was a super fun dog, but he died at 7 years old. Average life expectancy for a GD is only 8-10 years. They'll only make it to 10 if they have zero health problems ever.

I have one with a handle for Skeeter, cause he likes to try and run after dogs/cats/people and when I'm hiking with him, it's super useful so I can help him down hills or up rocks that he's convinced he can't do without me (when he absolutely can).

Bearnie is not so feisty that I need a handle, primarily because he's 7 pounds

I left it really loose when I was just getting him used to it and then slowly tightened it more and more until he adjusted.

 

The handle helps so much with all the squirrels and birds at our campus that we walk at.

Anyone else wear headphones and sometimes realize that they are still wearing them even though you aren't listening to anything? I think I just wear them cause they are comfy and keep me semi warm now.
