if anyone remembers those $50+ Vietnam hits (that were supposedly paid for with a stolen credit card).... Tom was all about teaming up with that scammer who posted those hits. then a month later he became mod...lol. always wondered why no one mentioned the hypocrisy

Might be worth checking your email(s) or searching for the HIT if you completed the batch that they launched a couple of months ago (I think). Not sure everyone will find it worth the $/hour, but from what I remember it wasn't allll that bad.

 

Wow- I think I spent too much time playing the games at MTG- always missed everything...I thought Stanley was real and in Mexico, but I did wonder why a doctor would be Turking. He seemed very helpful to people, though I never had a conversation with him.
Still struggling with my 2 computers trying to get everything working right again after that Zoltar hit killed my Win 7 and have been working mostly on Peter Clarks for the last couple weeks and another platform. I don't make great money on PC hits, but they are interesting and I always learn some weird bits of info.

 

So far they are only giving the new hit out to the first batch of people or so.. prob something to do with resting people after X amount of time or other time related things..

 

Some kind of info would be nice to have. It would help me keep an eye out on other boards so I won't be taken again. It makes me want to go back to lurking. I don't play games with peoples' emotions; treat people with respect and kindness, and I always look for the best in someone. Life is too short for this stuff. Don't get me wrong, I can hold my own when needed, (hence the screenname), I prefer kindness, happiness and peace. Oh, and chocolate.

 

I remember just thinking it was some rich person screwing with us for fun.
Felt so bad after we learned the truth.

 

Working on this $16 hit makes me want to go eat a toasted bagel so bad.

 

Not sure if I'm allowed to say it or not, but in the HIT they say that they picked people who had certain data from their first set (not performance based). Doesn't help explain anything obviously, but I don't think it's time based.

 

Have to read back through the thread- did someone get an id theft from an mTurk Requester or someone from one of the forums?
