11/29 - Transcending Tuesday!

IRC is an internet protocol while those chats you are talking about are programs that likely ran on top of that unless they had their own custom code for some reason.. I am bad at explaining stuff... but IRC has been around since the late 80s

 

I think maybe I got an extra long version of the $16 hit I'm 2 hours into it. I'm starting to yell back at the voices.

 

For your standard user IRC isn't much different than the old yahoo ASL chat rooms, but with different owners/purposes/whathaveyou. Discord is like IRC but with fancier bells and whistles.

 

I think the main thing discord doesn't have that IRC does is XDCC bots.. but I'm sure that there is a way to get those to work if someone really wanted to... I don't like downloading from XDCC bots anyways.

Update for those who have been following my fraudulent adventures today: My account has been totally restored in almost all aspects. My MTurk account has been restored to its full glory. My Amazon account has Prime again, along with my order history and everything else. The only downside is that the money that was transferred from my account did go to a gift card balance, the one on my main Amazon account. Despite my situation, they can not whatsoever reverse that transfer. It's not a big deal anyways because I'm ordering a lot from Amazon right now and I'm going to use that balance.

I won't go into much more details publicly for reasons. If you want to know more, shoot me a PM. In the meantime, I may take a day break to let this stress cool off.

TL;DR: fuck Reddit, KeePass is your best friend, and Amazon Payments Customer Support is extremely helpful for anything regarding Mechanical Turk. If you've got Turking problems, give them a call. Seriously, the regular Amazon CS won't know anything about Turk because they're basically treated as different companies.

I think you can still add bots to a discord channel though but probably not as versatile

I'm not familiar with Discord, but IRC is pretty easy. There's a webchat, or, for a slightly better experience, Hexchat on Windows. [If you're not on Windows, you're accustomed to finding software. ]. If you use hexchat, just join any freenode server.

Then use DCC send to send dick picks to @THFYM.

Who keeps wondering why I keep sending him pictures of [name of the other candidate who you didn't vote for].
