I agree, part of why I don't talk there as much anymore. Even the older more chill folks seem to be getting old and grump.

If a survey doesn't give me a code but requires one, do I enter a random code to submit the hit and then message them or do I return the hit? I'm really not having luck with these surveys today.

 

Submit with your mturk ID and you can message the requester.

 

I normally put my AMT id in and then email the requester and let them know.

 

I always submit my worker ID and then explain that no code was provided. usually works.

 

Worker ID and then just send a message if you want, or just assume everyone else will send a message. I usually just submit worker ID and go onto my next survey.

 

Oh just use your worker id. 99/100 it'll be fine, its honestly really easy for a requester to booboo the survey setup so it doesn't generate a code and/or mention to use your worker id. As long as you did the work the vast majority of the time you'll be totally fine! The 1 in 100 times you do get an unfortunate rejection half the time it'll get fixed and the other half honestly isn't worth worrying about since you'll make more money over the long haul not returning surveys for no reason haha
