I was able to post that at least. I was panicking.

 

I barely remember the book, but yeah, they told the story through the eyes of the adults with constant flashbacks in the original film. Not fun to watch. The movies are rarely as good as the books. I just watched Ready Player One and even though the book was mediocre, the movie was the worst thing I've watched in a long time. They left out all the redeemable parts of the book.

 

I can just see puddy doing something like this! Early because she wanted to go outside she just set right on my computer keyboard and messed it up, and then got into my tea and then my my face..

 

really? @Asylus read the books, i didnt, but i was looking forward to the movie :[

 

A movie is never really going to live up to the standards put forth by the book, but not that many directors are willing to make the radical changes necessary to at least make it watchable.

You might like it. My best friend thought it was good but I absolutely did not like it at all. They didn't mention D&D once, and they completely changed the challenges. They just left out a lot of stuff that I thought was cool in the book. I'm guessing they couldn't get the rights to that stuff or they blew through all their money getting the rights to using other stuff that wasn't as cool.

 

well shit. i may just read the book. i tend to like the books more anyway. for everything

I liked the book. I really liked his book ARMADA though. I think that would have translated to film really well.
