I bet half the reason this happened is he was hospitalized during the weekend and they got snippy about even letting us leave with the wheelchair because they couldn’t get our insurance to pre-approve it cause it was Saturday.

The ambulance didn’t run the insurance clearly either cause they sent us a nice bill too.

The insurance: You should only owe them 340 dollars. This is covered by your policy.

Me: they want 3400. Can you please call them?

The insurance: of course


1 week later: Ambulance sends us a new bill...for 3400 dollars

call the billing department of the hospital and ambulance company and tell them you have ins and you want them to bill it, give them the ins information and also ask for a fax# or email to send a copy of the back and front of the ins card. In theory this should be all you need to do but save the email or proof of the fax because they only have so much time to bill the ins company and if 2 years from now they send you another bill for any part of this it will be too late to bill it to the ins so you will want proof the mistake was on their end...or so I've heard, defiantly have no personal experience here or anything
