Hey guys, Granted this is by and large our fault because we have failed to provide examples this year of what smoke looks like, but there are about half a dozen smokes from the Marten camera today (photo below) and the results aren't super great. If you could, it would be great if you could look a tiny bit closer. Sorry I've been so disconnected, we've just been super busy. Love you, Robert
Can you highlight what is smoke here? I'm not doing the HITs but.. I have zero clue what in this image is supposed to be smoke lol
I marked those over the weekend possibly last week when I manage to catch some hits. Lately it's been pretty hard to catch any hits unsure if more people are doing the hits or if the total number of hits going out has gone down. Went from an average of 150+ hits a day down to around 20 per day.
Super good to know! I've been thinking the three plumes on the left are some sort of steam due to them being present frequently, the one further right and down was also questionable but, I've been marking it (not sure how consistently) when I see it.. How do we mark several plumes ( i assume just a larger box that encompasses the all of the suspected sites) in a single photo? Being able to see past photos has been helpful.
I've been MIA this past week working on an intense house hunting search. Our apartment complex was sold out from under us and my rent DOUBLED. I have until the 10th to find something so I can give legal notice to vacate by October 1st. Sigh ... this wreaks of being forced into a nursing home ... but I digress ... I believe I thought I saw those last week? I don't remember if I marked them or not @ChrisTurk I think these are the areas of smoke:
@Robert (imo) I would consider CT's advice and start to qual the workers that ARE providing you with good data. I feel that if your top workers like @GreenMachine842 and @Tripsa WANT to work on your project, it would be a sign of good will to let them work on it without being forced to compete w/everybody else to do so. 20 hits a day compared to 150 isn't great, especially when you consider the opportunity cost of running a panda all day for them. Idk what that would end up looking like, but some qualled/ some unqualled would allow your top workers to consistent provide quality answers for you, while letting new workers find the task as well.
As someone who does these I can confirm I am only at an average of 20 a day. Sometimes more but not much more. I use to net 50 a day no issues but now that 20 seems like a fight. Much more when they were at 0.09$ So I'd say more folks have found the HIT that are way new to these.
Just chiming in to say I used to do these, but at the small payout and small batches I look for other more lucrative things to spend me time and PREs on. Good luck!
Five hours on mturk so far today. Robert Atwood 5 $0.35 At this rate I can't leave a panda on all day for them anymore It's good that new people are doing them, hopefully they're submitting useful data.
@Robert Unsure if your aware that your hits are going out and aren't being submitted. due to a not found error. Also its now saying to find people instead of smoke in the hit layout. Just wanted to pass that along.
@Robert Hits were fine earlier but then this one showed up assuming you guys are working on something but wanted to make sure you were aware of this issue.
