What really happened: The application system that people use to submit their worker info for the TH qual has a built-in mod app.. I thought I'd be able to just lazily plaster that up on the forum.. but it has a bunch of stupid questions like "what are your aspirations for being a moderator" and stuff which is stupid when we mostly just need warm bodies to edit survey content and tell folks to PM each other their hatred or shush once a month.

Hm, not sure tbh. I believe when I looked into placing them it wasn't possible to alter where they showed as a desktop notification, only if I kept them on-screen inside the browser window for the forum.
