I always thought normies was a term for neurotypical people, compared to being on the spectrum? But that would make RA's comment partially true, since it's a hugely popular show featuring characters on the spectrum, and since everyone is so combative today I wouldn't want to disrupt that by validating what I think he's trying to say.

I personally can't stand the show because of the stupid laugh track at parts that aren't even funny. The only acceptable laugh track is one you don't notice because it happens at a part that's actually funny.

Most of the lines weren't even particularly funny, and using a laugh track as a "SEE THIS IS A JOKE LAUGH NOW BRAINLESS MINIONS" so often was just obnoxious to me. I mean, you're free to like it or whatever, but I personally don't see the appeal.

It's the way he says things, guy can't help being abrasive because he's a special needs fat cat. Most people who go about complaining about "normies" are also obnoxious, though. Especially the "tfw no gf" guys who also call everyone Tyrone, Stacy, and Chad.

 

Sheldon isn't even a real nerd though. He is like what someone who doesn't have a nerd friend would describe a nerd.
