When I was in elementary school, we were given the assignment to write about Columbus "discovering" America. Being a fan of the library and the encyclopedia, I wrote the actual story. My teacher sent it back home with me with a note for my dad - "This is not the version I'm teaching, she has to re-write it." My dad was like, wtf lady? He told me what to write, told me she was wrong, then he gave me a sticker and put the original one on the fridge. 5/5 pay would get sticker again.
