East coasters?

 

Last year, I retrieved a secret santa gift for @Rocknrolla from the boneyard at the Spaceport, and the gusts were INSANE. I was legit dangling in the cockpit of a 767 while it was bouncing up and down from the gusts, because I'm the smallest one and thus who gets stuck crawling into planes to retrieve rudder pedals and parts. I don't have a phobia of heights and small spaces or anything.

 

YOU'RE HERE!

 

• I was working at a new client and they had one main server. Everyone who ever visited to work there was given the Admin password to log on. I went to double-click on something on the desktop, missed, launched the icon below it. It was a batch file to launch SHUTDOWN.EXE with a time of five seconds. I couldn't stop it. I went into the CEO office to explain what had happened. "Yeah, don't worry, that happens a lot. We probably should change that icon...". (I still to this day can't think of a good rationale for why someone would have made that shortcut.)
• A few years prior, working in a much larger office. Electrician was working in the server room. He yanked out the wrong plug. Main file server went down. You could hear the chaos from that whole floor and the floor above. He looked up at me and asked, "did I do that?" Yes, yes you did. He carried on working. "Hey man, do you think you might want to stick that plug back in the socket? It'd really help me out...".
• Not me, but a younger tech who was working on a main server to replace a failed hard drive. No problem, the server was running a RAID array, probably RAID 5, everything was hot-pluggable. Except for some reason he couldn't figure out which disk had died, so he guessed. He guessed wrong, pulled out an active disk. Server grinds to a halt.

I could go on for days...
