I used to do Transcribe This HITs all the time...The hourly isn't great but they were good when there was nothing better. However, I accidentally hit enter and the HIT auto submitted once. I freaked out but immediately wrote them with an explanation and asked if they could email me the file so I could complete the transcription. I knew it was a long shot but I was willing to work with them to correct my mistake. Next day, I got a rejection and hard block. They hadn't even read my message, or maybe they did and ignored it. So I wrote them again and I received a reply.

Turns out, if you make a mistake, you get one chance with them. A rejection means an automatic hard block. Well, not being a push over and knowing this was an honest mistake. Honestly, that flipping enter button!!!!! I wrote a bunch of emails and explained how unreasonable their policy was, told them to check all the transcriptions work I had done for them in the past. Tod them mistakes happen and it was obvious I didn't mean to submit a blank transcription. By some miracle they reversed the rejection and said this was a one time deal and they don't usually do that. I immediately breathed a sigh of relief and put them on my block list. I don't need the anxiety or the subpar pay.

That being said. If you;re gonna do transcription work, it's only worth it if the audio is good and you're a fast typist.

I do type fast and I actually just returned one that was 6:09 long and the audio wasn't clear. Didn't seem worth the risk. TY for the input
