I remember reading that men are more prone to being able to tap into this logical part of the brain, something about how if a woman is following a map they will usually turn the map with them to face the way they are now going, where men (typically) are better at leaving the map in one orientation and finding it easy to still follow along with.

Dunno how credible the study is and don't remember the source, but anecdotally this is 100% true with the guys/gals I know universally.

My dad was giving me directions a couple weeks ago and he told me to go east on a certain street. After knowing me my whole life he should've known there's absolutely no way I would know off the top of my head which way is east

 

Yeah, it was a big drop, probably because of my approved hits ratio.
