I am glad you found it interesting. The pay does vary greatly between studies. The estimated time is added to the title so you as the participant can decide if the pay is worth the time. There is even debate in the field regarding the amount paid for an online study. Unfortunately, the payment often relates to whether someone is able to use grant money vs. having to pay out of their own pocket. I have participated in multiple marketing studies that pay much less (e.g. inboxdollars), though I gave up after so much work resulted in so little pay off. If you become a Master Mturker, you will get paid more for your time. This may be something that interests you. Don't worry about the mistakes on the grid task; it is meant to be a challenge
