Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear that about the kitty who escaped.

My other cat was a stray, found her in my garage. She has never fully taken to people. We got our new cat because outdoor kitty never really wanted to hang out with us anymore. Since we got new kitty, outdoor kitty only "knocks" on the door to tell us her outdoor food dish is currently empty and she requires a refill. She used to come in to eat, then right back out, but now...nope. I think she is transitioning to a full time outdoor cat.

 

Well, your kitty is adorable. Cats are so funny, I hope this one warms up to our pups.
