Well ... yea but not like in the same way you'd say, "Gee this milkshake sure tastes good" lol. It's still alcohol it's still going to burn. I mean I'll drink Patron Silver straight up but I wouldn't describe it as delicious! Just smooth. and still better with a mixer lol.

In all fairness though you could achieve the same thing from any liquor. I've only done that once... on a booze cruise in Mexico. Many many moons ago. I don't really drink all that often anymore. Just feels like wasted calories.

I think that's only if you're sitting in a recliner getting drunk off PBR or Natural light lol. I don't hate beer but I don't love it either. It's a take or it leave it for me. I don't really get into the super strong dark beers though.

The worst I've done as an adult was this year when I decided I didn't like the blinds in my kitchen anymore and promptly ripped them off the wall hulk style. I looked at Matt, told him, "Fuck these blinds!" and just tore them off the wall and then walked away. I have better blinds now.

I'm trying not to laugh so hard when I imagine you and your tequila shits, but I can't help it! That's pretty funny. I spent my 21st birthday in Charleston, it was awesome!

 

Thankfully I have not drank to the point of throwing up since my early 20's. I had a nasty experience where I thought it would be a good idea to chug from a bottle of amaretto. Well there was only one bathroom and it had a child lock on the knob. Lets just say they had to shampoo the carpet and repaint the door.

Oh, I didn't mean to hate on wine, and of course taste is all subjective. If you like wine, you like wine. If you like beer, you like beer. I just meant more directed to how put off people are on beer without trying anything beyond Miller/Bud/Coors or venturing to a hoppy IPA on a whim.

My favorite styles are all over the place too, so I love that. I'm basically a magnet to anything belgian. But from there, anything super light like sours or even wits, and anything dark like stouts. Oh, and anything strong like a barleywine. I'm a very regular regular at a taproom by my house and their tap list is organized light to dark, and they know I always order everything at the top and then everything at the bottom.

Oh for sure. I have no problem with water Bud/Miller etc because it all has their place in the world, but they're definitely not as potent as the usual goods. I forget where you're at, but I love that the micro-brewery scene is taking off everywhere. Chicago is such a good brewery location that I'll be sad to leave it someday. Whenever I think about places I'll eventually move to, I always think "but what breweries do they have?" I narrowed myself down to the east coast, Colorado, and Texas, so I'm pretty confident that I'll be happy, lol.



All of this said, if anyone ever wants to trade local brews for anything I can get in Chicagoland, find your way to my PM box. I trade with a few people across the country but could always use more beer trading buddies.

YES!!!! My favorites are McKenzie's Hard Black Cherry Cider, Rekorderlig's Strawberry and Lime Cider, Ace Pear Cider, and Hornsby's crisp apple. They are loaded with calories but so dang good.
