Haha aww thanks so much. Yeah I thought about sleeping on the couch just so I could wake up and act immediately if anything did happen, and my anxiety wouldn't let me stop staring out the window, but it would be literally right under where the tree is on the roof, so I decided against it. Now every time I hear any noise, I flinch and wait for something to happen. It's not supposed to warm up and melt any time soon either, only freeze and rain/snow a little more, so hopefully they can get someone out soon, but I know there are people with actual problems that need help first so as long as it stays in place it should be fine. I'm also super grateful I rent, so none of this is on me to clean up and repair. Yikes

hahah, that'll show him! But really, I feel so bad for my squirrel friends, they loved that tree and I always dumped my leftover veggies at the bottom of it for them. Hopefully the one next to it is salvageable (it's kind of leaning too, but I hope it's just the weight of the snow/ice) so they can live there.
