In that case.... dump some sugar in the feeder and mix with water. Hang it on a stand near your back porch. (if you don't have a back porch, steal someone else's). Sit on back porch and wait for the birds. They like to come early in the morning and late in the evening. Times may vary. idk if they like cold weather and how they deal with it. Florida doesn't get cold except for the last two days here. I don't know if she has seen them lately.

Also, don't talk when the birds are around. They'll leave.

i had similar ones that were flowers (similar to these, not so cheapy plastic-y https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01JIRJ76I/?tag=thtv02-20) and they didn't touch them. i have 2-3 hummies that know i have the goods in the generic hummingbird feeders, but they didn't even look at those right next to it.

as for the bird bath discussion, actual antique ones are nice, but i looked up "antique" ones on amazon and they're all decked out in fake rust/fake patina and it doesn't look nice. how do you feel about concrete? they can be decorative, you might have luck at, uh, actually i have no idea, we got ours at a flea market ~25 years ago (which makes it an antique unto itself)
