12/07 - Flurry Friday!

I never really understood the concept of protecting something so much that it basically ruins it just because it is expensive. The couches are just a very ugh example of that.

A good counter example would be a thin phone case offers protection to a phone without making it god damn unusable.

tl;dr wash your fucking clothes you monsters.

 

Having a cat - don't buy an expensive couch. - it's just a high-class scratching post.

 

My parents have three cats and an expensive couch but it isn't an issue.

Trim your cat's claws regularly and have plenty of scratching posts.

 

I feel this way about all things. Bought a brand new car (first one ever, only brand new one I've ever bought). Didn't care when it got a scratch. It's a CAR. It's a UTILITY thing. (It's a hatchback, but it's for utilitarian reasons.) Bought couches. Let the sweaty kid sit on them (covers are washable). Bought new carpet, kids come inside with wet feet from the pool. it will dry.

I mean, ffs, I do clean my stuff...I just don't have it hermetically sealed and preserved for the rest of my life.

well they have polite cats.
my cat would destroy it to be a dick and then knock over his scratching posts that are all over the house like some kind of gangster, but just a dick.

My cat annihilated my first (not super expensive couch) She did a bit of a number on the second one, and the third one she's left alone cuz we have these little things all over the house. We complained to an old neighbor about her tearing up couch #2 and he clued us into these and we've had 0 issues since, thank goodness.

I was a bad cat mom thinking the two scratching posts were enough I guess

 

she won't talk to me I Just want to be friends.

At first I felt it was a perfect opportunity to have an arch-nemesis, because everyone needs one and I don't actually have one for some reason.

But I just want to be friends.

 

They have a history of 4 cats now. I think that it is a training issue just like with dogs.

 

Disposable income...

 

It is that thing you would have if you didn't have kids.

I am also getting a fancy new fence put up on Monday because the current one, literally, fell over. I can show that shit off to all the neighbors when they drive by. I might even hang some Christmas lights on it to show off what my disposable income buys.

 

Okay I pulled it out just now. It smells completely neutral/fresh honestly but that might just be eau de freezer. I'm gonna let it sit out here for accuracy
