I want to know how you managed to work, take care of sick animals, be sick, and put together a dinner party for 60+ people.

 

No, she was specifically asked not to bring a dessert period. But, of course, I bet she would and I won. She's not a nice person but I have to be polite, so I didn't immediately spike that monstrosisty into the trash.

She proceeded to loudly tell everyone about how desserts from scratch aren't worth the time again and how her box mix desserts are the best cause she "makes them with kindess," and then she proceeded to attempt to go take them and hand them out to people in order to demonstrate that "my dessert is by far the best," and "what did you put in this cheesecake Bird? It tastes funny!" Of course, hers were now gone and I had NO IDEA where they were and she aimlessly walked around my house, hoping to find them. The best part is that after she said my cheesecake tasted funny, someone grabbed her plate to eat the rest of her slice because everyone else was scarfing it down. I have no leftovers today except sauce cause I made enough sauce for like 100 people on accident. I'm glad I made a tiny tester of the cheesecake or I wouldn't have gotten any myself!

My frat bro friend kept creeping behind this girl and mouthing, "FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT!" and fist pumping every time she was sniping about something.

 

Been fine, just got finished with exams.

 

I honestly could not even tell you! I think I entered an alternate hostess super dimension at some point. I had so much red bull that I think I was moving faster than time was. I'm just so pleased it came together so well! I was so paranoid I was gonna have all this extra food cause of a small turnout

 

Matt wanted to ban her from the house, but since she's the gf of his friend and I try to keep the peace in such a small area, I just shoved kindness down her throat as hard as possible.

Spoiler: I did a ton in advance, luckily

My vacuum sealer earned its keep this week! I did all the crab and ricotta dips (well, put them together before the actual baking and then sealed them up nice so I could just pop them in the oven 30 minutes before everyone got there) and the cheese plate and the sauce and bread and truffles and cheesecake ahead of time and vacuum sealed them up all nice, and so I was able to do it part by part thru the week and didn't have as much to do on Friday itself. It's mind boggling what one person can get done with a vacuum sealer, a mixer+food processor, and mild insanity.
