Yep! I've never run more than 8mi at once though so not marathon distances or anything.

Maybe you should practice then :p I might not be a viscous fighter but I damn sure can outrun whoever is pursuing me!

I prefer to run on trails since it seems to be better on the knees (and shins, which are my biggest problem). I honestly despise exercise machines, lol. I feel like a hamster on a wheel. I can't wait to move back to Colorado and go on some crazy trail runs in the mountains!:D

Ah, I envy you. Short distance runner here whose never legitimately ran more than 800m at a time. I don't think I have the attention span to run for miles

Well I'm slow over short distances, lol. I was in the 800 my first two years of track but I HATED it. It was torture for me to have to run under 6min mile pace when I couldn't even run a 6 minute mile! I remember being disqualified during Districts one year because I had a nose ring (lol wut) and I was SO HAPPY I didn't have to run the 800. I wasn't even mad.

    What was your best distance?

If you have access to an elliptical machine try that, since its minimal (if any) impact on your joints and you can get a good workout on them. Personally I like strapping on weights and doing mostly pull-ups and dips for my workouts. But any exercise is good exercise. USE IT OR LOSE IT!!

The longest I've ever ran in life was about 3.5 miles and we had to do it under 25 minutes, so a little under, a little over 6min/mile (military) but my best race is the 100m and 200m. 100m best time was 9.96 and 200m was 21.35. My 400m was like 58 cause idgaf about races after 200m lol. My coach had me run the 800 one time and I came in dead last and didn't even care to know what my time was. Seriously fuck the 800m.

Okay now I'm realizing I need to be more brazen about risking these PRE's lol. I never get more than a few, but when I get one I tend to shut everything down.

Oh eff that... I got laid off many years ago and had to do that for a couple of months. Waiting in a skeezy lobby just to get stuck by people whose only training was on the job to miss my vein and leave a huge bruise... It would take upwards of 8 hours sometimes, even the thought of doing that again makes me ragey.
