Click on the PE line and have it update todays numbers.

Yes, and you really should use it.. It'll pick up anything with mturk.com in it IIRC. Its better than being frustrated with content man, life's too short to be worried about a forum.

If you find work related content it consistently misses let me know and I can always adjust it. There's a new update I have in the pipeline that'll increase its usefulness as a "work filter" anyway, so adding to it pre-release is no problem.

I totally understand what you mean, and I think I have a couple of different paths to a solution for this problem.. its only really a problem when you're "catching up" on a thread, right? Once you're at the live-update point I feel like the 'work mode' is pretty seamless. Agree/disagree? Trying to pick the best route for a good solution..

Because working from your queue makes things wonky. The status details page (where PE scripts get their info from), show you the hits you completed in the order they were accepted. So if you visited the dashboard and it scanned up to say page 3 and that was all you had. You accept a HIT, that will show on page 3. You don't do that HIT yet and do 25 other HITs, visit dashboard and it goes to page 4 now. Then you submit that HIT, it is on page 3, so the script won't visit it again. Hitting recalc will make it start over at page 1, grabbing everything.
Red means you need to recalc cause it missed a HIT. It knows because it compares how many HITs you have submitted for the day vs how many is in its memory for the day.

If you use work filter, just use more posts per page, problem solved. No adjustment needed imo.

But you shouldn't have pagination at all for a catch-up/work mode.. It should be a feed like HN. From a purely user experience perspective.

I would assume so but I enjoy the shit posting. It keeps me sane and so once I get caught up I return to the normal mode.

I do the same, just making sure its only really a problem when you're "catching up" on the day.

Hes talking about catching up for the day. Starting at page 1 with work mode on and going to the current page. So very few results will show. It'll be "feed" once you're caught up. The user setting it to 50 posts per page will stop the only 2 posts per page issue while catching up unless there is a ton of shit posting.

Maybe this would belong in the suggestions area, and I'm kind of wondering out loud right now, but what about being able to customize work mode, so queries like "mud huts" also make it through the filter?

Not that I know anything about how this would work but I would imagine trying to figure out what would be a query as opposed to regular conversation would be extremely hard unless someone was tagging them manually. (Sounds like a mturk batch)

That's why it would have to be a personal option. You could play around with different keywords and/or phrases, and if more "noise" is getting through than you personally prefer, you can fiddle around some more.

That being said, I have no idea how possible any of this is.

I like this and its definitely a simple thing to add. I might change the current white/blacklist of users to be a keyword thing instead.. Obviously that'll still work if you use people's names but it'd also grant it extra usability.

That suggestion shouldn't be hard to implement at all. Would be just like the user white list/black list thing.
