In my experience, you have to painfully wait it out until the puppy learns that barking won't pay off. I have tiny breeds which tend to bark as a norm. My husband trained German Shephards (shutzin, I know the spelling is incorrect) and Border Collies, and those pups were usually quicker at getting in the groove. Pretty much like a baby, make sure all needs have been met, allow out for ample amounts of time, use crate at night and when necessary for safety throughout the day. Oh, and gated pins worked better at reducing barking in the daytime, a little more space to have sleep/play/eat/business etc..

 

You could try putting a blanket over the crate so it's dark.

I hate to say it, but this guy is reject happy for no reason. I dont know why people keep doing hit HIT's. I accepted it and then once I saw that this was a dbag that rejected for missing 1 out of his 50 attention checks, i shot him to the block list. No response either as to what was missed. If you do this HIT, best document each AC you see.
