If you were kicked out after those first few questions, it means that you either did not accurately answer the attention questions or you took less than 8 minutes on the survey. (In all of our test runs, respondents who were paying attention took between 11 and 15 minutes on the survey.) As you recall, the survey link instructions on MTurk warned you in bold red letters that accurately answering the survey and taking more than 8 minutes to complete the survey were required in order to receive credit for taking the survey.

Based on your feedback, we are revising the survey so that respondents who fail to meet these qualifications receive information on the specific reason they were disqualified.
