Hi all. Not so much of a good morning. Yesterday evening me and Kiddo agonizingly took our sweet baby girl to the vet for her final visit. She had almost stopped eating the last few days and was clearly in more discomfort than just a few weeks ago.




It was peaceful and I'm glad we were there and her last memories are "Who's a good girl? Dessa is a good girl! We love you, Dessa!" But my home has a gaping hole in it now. My oldest Kiddo drove up (she lives about an hour away) and brought her doggo, and it was awesome to get doggie kisses and cuddles from my grand doggie. She also helped me clean up and put away all of Dessa's things we no longer need out which was a huge help. Bless that child (for real, this is a real Bless her Heart!)

I'm going to spoiler this last pic in case it triggers some. It's me and kiddo and our last goodbye to her, just before the doctor came into the room.

I've tried Turkenator. At the moment I'm still using HF and PC but that's not to say Turkenator isn't good, it is. In fact I'm thinking of giving it another go today or tomorrow. You just have to adjust to a slightly new way of working as the features aren't all exactly the same, so there's a learning curve and an adjustment period. Turkenator is getting better too as @Kadauchi is ironing out bugs, adding features etc. It's also cross platform and has mobile app. You can try Turkenator out and then cancel if you don't want to continue using it too as it's month to month, so really you've only got $10 to lose (plus any lost earnings you might forfeit during the transition) by giving it a go. It would be good to try it during a slow period rather than a super busy time so you're not paranoid and distracted about potentially missing work.

Some features are great, I like the work window and the favorites finder which is like an include list that automatically triggers a catcher everytime a requestor/HIT is found.

The support from Kadauchi, the developer, is great, he has a slack chan and is on there all the time answering questions, taking suggestions and posting updates etc. There's also a little community on there who can help you out if you're stuck.

It won't work for everyone but it's worth a look.
