Pretty much the same thing happened during my final year. If you form an opinion it is best to keep it to yourself in certain situations. I too ended up having to appeal a biased grade however I went straight to the university president since my classes were capstones with the department chair. So in my last year I ended up taking her up on the offer she made during orientation when she talked with everyone. To this day I still remember walking through those huge wooden doors and saying Ms. X I need to take you up on that offer.

Well the offer was after her presentation and speech that basically boiled down to "we have quite a few rigid thinkers around here..." I had personally went up to her after the event and talked with her during the mixer and what she said was expounded upon. She made the offer to me as a freshman since I was in a new hybrid-degree program "If you ever need anything don't hesitate to come and see me and I am sure I can get it straightened out." Well sitting 2 weeks from application for graduation I had a professor who was also my department chair that just did not like the way I thought. So at every turn that final year I kept getting nailed with BS, and then he threatened to not sign off on my capstones unless I change my thinking immediately to his way of seeing things...

Capstones are basically a culmination of everything in your degree, since it was hybrid degrees it required a less traditional method than say an internship, or work study.

I can't wait for the reboot. I can't believe David Tennant is voicing Scrooge.

Ahhh I see I see. Yep. I had to waltz into my chair's office and hand him the paper. I basically said "you may not agree with my reasoning which is subjective no matter how you look at it, but the math is correct, thus my conclusion is possible/plausible/not outside the realm of reality and it's well researched and cited. Got my A.

My advisor is also cool as all getout and has gotten me out of a tight space before as well.

I just can't bring myself to learn from the perspective of someone else or communicate my ideas with a (your view here) filter.

But I also need my A. Haha. Rough.

Didn't he have a really sinister side in all those episodes... I am going to have to rewatch a few episodes sometime.

A good advisor is key. They can either make a lot of things happen for you or sink you. I tended to lack said filter, however I am a little more calmer. Just don't ask me for my opinion and expect it to be tailored to what you want to hear.

    Good luck to ya!
