So not just the requester in the account name himself. It is approved by the IRB at Michigan State University despite what I certainly feel was the outright lie of a "better paid" followup study from the original survey.

Cons:
In my original review for this Requester I noted that they offered a followup that was supposed to be better paid than the original survey. Not only did they fail to accomplish that goal (given that the original paid 20c and this only pays 15c) but they sent a 1 penny bonus asking me to complete this followup with an estimated completion time of FOUR MINUTES for 15c.

I guess it works, since I've done it, but I generally expect better from IRB approved studies. Even for MTurk this feels slimy to lie about better paying followups in order to bait workers into completing underpaid HITs up front from a University IRB approved study.

Personally, when I'm offered a better paying followup I fully expect it to be substantial enough to offset the initial time and cost of doing the first study at a reduced rate, since I understand the need to backload payment to ensure good retention rates in studies, but this failed miserably to live up to that. I have no way of knowing how important a study is/isn't to the University, though I guess ground breaking research isn't being done on the importance of DC/Marvel to our society haha.

I grab Jason Li transcribe the 4 numbers batches all day long for this reason. Sometimes I get 25 of them at a time and they literally take about 2 seconds a piece. Easy not mind numbing and money is better than no money.
