Do people really shoot-up in doorways and crap on the sidewalks in SF?

 

I'm going to let the kid choose what we have for fast crappy food tonight. I figure he earns that choice after running.

He informed me the other day that if I didn't force him to run he'd be happy to never run again.

I'm TRYING to map the "I need to exercise to feel healthy and vital!" pathway in his brain while he's young enough to still have to do what I say just because I said so.

 

Force him to play a team sport.

 

Yes.

It's really bad in some areas of the City. Not so bad in others. It's like most cities...there are bad areas and decent areas.

But yeah, public defecation is sadly not rare. Neither are needles.

Now, that is my son's idea of a team sport.

 

My brother used to be really shy, when he was little. We forced him into track. He became athletic and made friends who are now his friends to this day. He's doing pretty well with his life now.

 

It is really really good. But I have the taste buds of a child

 

It's because of the large homeless population from what I've read. Any area where there's a significant population of the homeless is probably going to be not very clean.

It is just dry noodes and powder so yeah that shit last a long time.

All kidding aside: That's what he did for years. Played many of them: baseball, soccer, basketball. He even did dance for six years.

He bowed out of team sports in the 5th grade when it became all about winning and nothing else. That's not why he liked them.

He did dance up through the seventh grade. He was one of the few boys in his dance classes. He never understood why boys at school were sometimes scared to dance with girls. "I've been doing it since I was 7!" was his reply.
