I'm probably too much of an 'old (gaseous outburst)' to deal with some of this stuff myself, but I continue to be really impressed by the ways you guys figure out how to increase the 'efficiency factor'!

 

Is anyone having a problem with PC? When I first bring it up it works fine. However, as soon as it accepts a hit, the GUI stops being updated.

I used to work from my queue on things while running a panda for them and on a different screen I'd be working on the same batch but auto-accepting next. But I haven't been able to figure it out on the new site and it would really come in handy with these tax engines.

 

Yep, now that you mentioned it, that's the instruction that I remember -- basically 'don't assume anything if it's not there.'

 

Aside from the fact that sounds like an absolute nightmare, why can't you do that on worker? Do the internet internal (though I guess internet also works) redirects screw it up?

 

If I can see an S or N or D in the very edge of the pic (wrapper on the bottle) I mark it. Beyond that, if it's not obvious, it's no label (but yeah, last time it was "if it should be"... and I messed that up too, and they didn't reject me. So I'm hoping I'm okay again.)

Yup, no code and I can't figure out how to email requester on the new worker site?

 

Yeah, it either throws me into my queue or if I'm working on two in my queue one of them will dump me out completely.

 

Click name in upper left corner, it opens up the hit info and you can email from the bottom of that box

How do you message them? I can't find it on the new site.

OH! I see why there's no "assuming" on the tax engines this time. I just got two in a row that were obviously UK stuff, and didn't have any of the three designations in the facts box - just a product description. Overseas doesn't have the same US requirements.

 

I guess in theory you could write a script to prevent the redirect in your "aa next" tab and then just refresh until it finds another HIT but otherwise you're at the mercy of Amazon on this one. Not trying to be a dick or start an argument about "what works for people" but from a page request standpoint that workflow is pretty questionable (admittedly I'm not putting a ton of thought into it), you may wanna look for better alternatives since its being disrupted anyway.
