Also not pictured - I taught myself to type with my elbows flared and wrists more-or-less in-line with my forearm (not arced to the left/right).
Basically the same way you'd approach a split "ergo" keyboard, but that's how I position myself over a regular keyboard.

It was the "wrong" way to type, but I've never had any wrist discomfort, and I've been spending long hours at the computer since I was like... 12 years old.

Your shoulder width and how closely you hold your elbows to your body are important spatial factors for ergonomics that differ from body to body and often go ignored.

This is another perfect example of what works for you doesn't work for everyone. That would kill me to type like that. I have to keep my elbows in close to my body. I also can't have a 10 key on my keyboard because it puts the mouse too far away from me for comfortable long term use.

It would probably work best for people to experiment with what works best for them.

If I am uncomfortable, I can't work. I know what you mean. I do transcription, and I do get hand pain/numbness due to tissue damage in my right hand still, but if I didn't look into ergonomics a while back I wouldn't be able to stand sitting here to turk. I also got lucky and found a herman miller ergo chair for 9.99 at Salvation Army and a $2200 electronic adjustable ergo work station for $50 at Habitat for Humanity.

 

In the past, I've gone further than using a TKL keyboard and have used a 60% keyboard for mousepad space. I use a huge mousepad (Steelseries XXL: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00WAA2704/?tag=thtv02-20) and using a 60% keyboard gives me plenty of mouse space when gaming without needing to tilt my keyboard to drastic angles like CSGO pros do:
