As I said before. You have nice hardware. I'm not THAT big of the software, but I'm a microsoft guy. It works, it can be solid if not a little too cutting edge. Glad it works for you and you like it. It's not for me. I nod in approval of your choice, but I do something different.

Did you get a tower, or a notebook when you ordered your latest mac? I believe think "silicone" macs are out now, or am I too far out of date. I knew it was coming "soon".

 

Got a Mac mini with Apple Silicon chip. It looks like this:



That tiny little box under the monitor.

 

No problem. I make so many spelling and grammatical errors I should probably have a banner for that.

I also majored in computer programming. I wonder if typing errors are common amongst our people?

 

That's cool. I was always impressed by how much horsepower they could put in there. But ofcorse you give up expanding at all (or much).

Do you spend most of your time in the GUI, or some an unix prompts too? I'd venture to say if you gave me an hour or two to shake off the cobwebs I know quite a bit of OSX terminal. But I started out a VB programmer and grew up in MS land with MS paying all my bills (yes even worked directly for them). Don't do that anymore, but it doesn't mean I don't geek out on cool new tech, no matter who puts its out.

 

If you are like me, I hated all classes that didn't interest me. A+ in computer/math/science classes (and music). And barely scraping by in the rest. I'm sure that had a lasting effect. I was smart enough for sure. Just didn't care.
