    If it's in a tab it don't have as much go juice as when it is in a sole window unless it is the tab you have open.

    Chrome added throttling to background tabs, so it slows the pandas down. Say you have PC set to 1000 and it's in the background, so Chrome will just slow it down more and more so the timer goes to 1500 after 10 seconds and 13000 after 60 seconds. Keeping it in it's own window prevents that.

    Because modern desktop web browsers throttle background tabs to save battery life and CPU cycles.

    The maximum rate at which timers is limited to no faster than 1 second, and the maximum CPU share allowed is subject to complex budgeting rules, but generally gets a maximum of 1% of one core.

    I dunno. As someone who specializes in creative writing this was HotD for me. Much less tedious than doing 5 dollar surveys of bubble hell IMO. Maybe i'm just a potty mouth stand up comic that knows how to tap into saying terrible shit.

    I keep everything open in a separate window. I use HF and PC only now, and when I'm working at home I keep them on separate portrait displays on either side of my main monitor.
