If an academic study provided by a university student fails to disclose attention checks, or a minimum time limit (5 mins) in the terms, can they later reject my work because of that? I crawl through surveys at a snails pace, and don't believe the rejection is valid. I believe the requester noticed people flying through their survey without reading, so they created two new surveys and added an attention check on the last page. The new surveys were listed for a dollar less than the initial one, and one set required a masters qual. They figured they could just reject all of the work from the first HIT. Should I challenge it with their IRB?
