It displayed the state of the G13. That was the only thing that made sense. For everything else, the computer screen is a much richer display, besides the fact that if you're doing something on the computer, you're already looking at it.

I used Lua to program 3 initial state layers and used key # G15 under my left pinky to swap between them:

No modifier: Whichever layer you've selected with the layer keys, default layer 1.
Hold: First layer that you're not on. (Release to return to whence you came)
Double-tap and Hold: Last layer that you're not currently on (Release to return to whence you came)

If you wanted to more permanently swap layers, you'd just push the dedicated layer button. The shift button worked the same way on each layer.

I changed the display backlight to Red/Green/Blue to represent layers 1/2/3, in that order.

Made sense, because those were the colors that it could display accurately and differentiate between, and that's the order in which all colors are defined, etc., by standard, so it was easy to remember which color meant which state.

I liked the G13 overall, but I found it too bulky over time compared to a simple numpad (working on-the-go meant taking my G13 with me if I wanted to maintain my same workflow), and I just couldn't get along with the mushy keys after they'd already seen a lot of usage and I bought my first mechanical keyboard to compare them to.

Oh, yeah. Searching the whole mTurk site for quals available to request. I have no idea.

I've only done a few PFAs or whatever because I decided I didn't like them. I don't know whether or not they always hid the HITs from unqualified workers, because searching through quals to request them just sounds like something I wouldn't do.

One big shrug from me on this one. This is something I truly know little to nothing about. Lol.

Pros:
Though awkward, this is really easy and well-paid task. Chat with a bot (or in my case, have it ignore you) for 13 turns. These are fun to do sometimes, and always pay well.
