There are a handful of people who do make that much on average, and most of them aren't commenting on the forum. They are grinding away heavily all day. I would guess that the majority of them are writing a lot of their own tools with a very nice closed qual. Batches would almost certainly be how people are landing those numbers though. You should always "Play by the rules" though. Don't let envy of somebody's amount cause you to stray from completing tasks correctly and honestly. It is easy to think "Well I want that too!", but it is also a TON of work.

MTC is the OG now. All of those people are old as dirt & dust as far as mTurk is concerned (that's not a knock, just saying looking at folks like that doesn't make sense in your situation). As you age actively on the platform you'll end up in similar situations where you're more or less perma-hired by some companies as you get "old" in mTurk years. Don't confuse their data with what's available in your situation. The only rules you can break to make up the gap between you and their years of experience on the platform will get your account nuked sooner than later.

Most big earners have quite a few private qualifications from Requesters who can pay $20/hr, a handful can bust out $100/hr on some tasks. You don't have access to that, and no "rule" you intend on bending/breaking will make up the difference for very long. Mix that w/ JS experience and you're in business, but you can't shortcut without both. Mostly because as anyone who has written a script worth writing will tell you: padding is mandatory
