Yeah, I do not do that. That is not the point anyway. the point is between confidence levels and betting. For ex: my confidence level for Manu wins at Burnley was 65 so I bet $65 on that, but most of the people bet more than $90 on that.

I will guess 10 games correctly out of 10, but there is no way that I get $25 bonus. Probably some guy who guessed 6/10 will get the bonus. I know that UNU is asking for confidence levels, how much people are sure about that a team will win, so the current bonus system is not helping them nor me.

 

I bet either $100 or $0 because I'm never wrong.

 

I only bet $100. No point in betting less. I think that's why I lost my EPL qual.

It especially doesn't work on - for example, the latest NFL playoff swarm - where it's 2 games. You're not going to win unless you max bet 100. - and it's probably going to be a 5 way tie.

 

I know that pain with week 11 in the NHL.

With all due respect, I didn't get the shutout, but iirc I was pretty close (maybe two wrong?) and the person who won that week very well could have had more correct than I did... but you can see the difference in numbers between him and everyone else. Maybe they were that right and that confident, and that's great, no gripe here. But it felt bad and made me less logical in my bets and more "i want the bonus", which isn't good for their data (and I was more flippant, and won a bonus on a sport I'm the absolute least confident in). They did mention they were going to look at scoring based on an average, so they must see that people are using the bets incorrectly. It makes sense for them to expect us to show our confidence in our bets, and it makes sense for us to bet high amounts because it gives us the better chance at a bonus, but the two sides don't really play nice together.

They are definitely aware of it, which is probably why Gammy mentioned changing the scoring system to more of a return on investment. I have a feeling this current system is probably on the way out. Even I am guilty of adjusting a few bets here and there to higher numbers so I could actually have a shot. I have noticed I finish in the top 1/3 of the weekly standings pretty often, but since going to this system I haven't won a bonus. I would absolutely love to see behind the curtain though and get a look at the kind of bets people are making.

Right now is an awful time to build a computer.

 

build a desktop, and since you use it to work, have it deducted from your taxes! just kidding, I don't know how does it work can you really deduce a desktop from your taxes if you use it for turking?

 

People get excited when they find GPUs at MSRP right now and honestly I would wait for RYZEN 2 before I built a computer.

Oh and don't forget that the RAM prices are almost as retarded as the GPU prices right now.
